Premium Mugi Shochu aging in the oak cask

This premium Mugi Shochu was made from Barley and Barley Koji. Aged for at least 3 years in the oak barrels. Restrained nose of orange, apples, fine oak and subtle whisky. Serve straight up and enjoy a palate of pear, almond meal, milk, barley and honey with great complexity. Serving with a little ice will increase the sweetness and spice but masks the complexity of this amazing shochu.

Ginger fragrance and refreshing new taste with Umeshu

Sweet nutty gingerale and a balance of chinotto, ginger and ume fruit. As far as umeshu's (plum wine liqueur) go, this is more on the dry side. Refreshing, warming and invigorating. Although there is a little sweetness upfront, the finish is like dry ginger ale. Made from Shichifuku Ginger, speciality of Saga prefecture, Japan. The umeshu (plum wine) is aged 2-3 years before the ginger is added to infuse for another 1-2 years.

Aged for more than a year and is blended in a well-balanced manner with the natural juice from the local Yuzu made in Oita prefecture. In addition to the refreshing yuzu aroma and sour taste, sweetness of this ATIHO has a deeper taste due to aging umeshu (plum wine). Recommended as an aperitif or aperitif.
